What kind of Photography do you specialize in? What is your style of Photography?

I specialize in PORTRAIT photography. My favorite subjects are children of all ages. I am a mother myself and I know how important it is to capture that fleeting moment of childhood essence. The children will grow up quickly but the memories will stay forever. Check out High School Senior Directory that I am a part of.  But of course the children are not my only subjects. Engaged couples, families and even pets. Capturing the best pose and expression is my goal.

I would describe my style of photography as elegant, modern, and fresh.

Do you have formal training in photography?           

In my opinion, education in photography is underestimated. I’m a big proponent of getting some type of photo- and design education.

I am a proud graduate of New York Institute of Photography, the oldest photography school in the USA.

I am a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA)

I constantly participate in the workshops to expand my knowledge, to be on top of the latest industry trends and events, and grow professionally.

What if I don't like the pictures"?  This has never happened but if you are not satisfied with your images, please notify me at the time of your online viewing session before you download any images. A re-shoot will be scheduled at no cost to you. Subjects must wear the same clothing and be photographed at the same location. If a re-shoot is desired, images from the first session will be deleted and no longer available for ordering. If you are displeased with the reshoot, your session fee will be refunded with no obligation. All images will be purged after a session fee has been refunded.

How soon will we get the photos?

It totally depends on the type of photo session, season, and the products you order. In most cases the images will be ready for you to view within one-two weeks of photo session. After your order is placed, depending on what product you chose it will arrive between 2 and 8 weeks.

You package includes digital files (that you will be able to download to your computer through via your private gallery). But I also encourage you to order a few prints or a photo album. After all, you won't be able to display digital files on the wall or may not be able to pass it on to the next generation.  A photo album, on the other hand, will be a pleasure to hold and flip through. 

I work with the best professional labs and offer a variety of high quality photo products, including prints, photo albums, metal and acrylic prints and others. 

What should we wear to a photo session?

Generally, clients are trying to coordinate the colors of their clothes among themselves: say, all wearing earth tones, or carrying the same color through everyone's accessories/clothes. It doesn’t have to be one color shirts/dresses, although it does look classy. If you go for a casual and relaxed effect, you are welcome to wear bright colors. Please, try to avoid bold patterns, wide stripes, and logos that distract from a person’s face. After all, your features and expression is the most important in the photo. Can we bring props?

You are very welcome to bring any props! It is so much fun to use them and makes for an exciting photo session! 

What is Copyright?

Copyright is, literally, the “right to copy” a specific work. Copyright is owned solely by the originator of the work from the moment of its creation. Copyright violation, even if unintentional, is a violation of federal law and subject to prosecution. Oksana Andersen Photography owns the copyright to all images, including proofs. The images may not be copied, scanned, or reproduced in any way without written permission from Oksana Andersen Photography. With that being said, if you are buying a package, that includes high resolution digital files, you get the print release, which gives you right to print the photos for your personal use.
